Dear colleagues,![]()
Looking back at my first week I can declare that I am very proud to be the new Chair of G-I-N.
We just experienced a fantastic congress in the wonderful setting of Chicago, with almost 450 colleagues from 31 countries around the world. High quality presentations and debate about current developments in the field of guidelines: that is what our Network is about.
We also held our first meeting with the new G-I-N Board of Trustees. We set priorities for actions, based on the Network's long term strategy discussed with our members during the 2010 Annual General Meeting. Our three priorities for the coming year are: to determine future directions for our annual conference, to ensure the generation of deliverables and tools for use by our members, and to better communicate who we are: the world leading organization for collaboration in guideline development, adaptation and implementation.
Rest me to say that we are only able to do this thanks to the invaluable efforts of our members in the various committees, working groups, and communities. I am looking forward to our present and future collaborations. Thank you all for contributing to our Network.
