Beatrice Fervers, MD, MSc

Béatrice Fervers (MD, PhD) has been trained as a medical oncologist and holds a PhD in health services research. She is currently in charge of the development of a programme ‘Cancer and Environment’ at the Léon Bérard Cancer Center in Lyon, France. From 1996-2008, she has been deputy director of the French programme for clinical practice guidelines in oncology (SOR: Standards, Options & Recommendations). Since 1994 she has also been involved in a regional cancer network guidelines implementation programme. Her experience and research interest focuses on guideline methods. She participates in various European and International research projects and initiatives in this field (CoCanCPG, AGREE, GRADE, SEARCH). She is chair of the ADAPTE collaboration (www.adapte.org). She is co-opted member of the Board of OECI (Organisation of European Cancer Institutes).
