Welcome to our Website

Dear colleagues,Philip van der Wees May 2010

In my first year as Chair of G-I-N I had the exciting experience to work with an international Board of Trustees with an enormous background and expertise in guideline development and implementation, supported by our outstanding Executive Officer.  The added value of our networking activities lies embedded in the invaluable efforts of our members in the various committees, working groups, and communities. Thank you all for contributing to our Network.

During the past year we started implementing our long term strategy as discussed with our members during the 2010 Annual General Meeting. Our three priorities for the past year were: to determine future directions for our annual conferences, to ensure the generation of deliverables and tools for use by our members, and to better communicate who we are: the world leading organization for collaboration in guideline development, adaptation and implementation.

One of our main deliverables is our annual conference, for which the location this year is Seoul. It was our first Asian G-I-N conference in history. Together with our Korean hosts we offered you a unique experience and setting. The Asian setting of the conference also allowed us to strengthen our collaboration with other groups, such as the Asian Pacific Evidence Based Medicine Network.
