German language satellite symposium
The symposium will offer organisations and experts from German-speaking countries a forum to discuss organisational, methodological and content-related aspects of clinical practice guidelines and quality improvement taking into account their individual tasks and experiences.
Workshops divided into three topic streams will be offered. In addition, country specific paralell-sessions will adress the role of guidelines in the context of quality improvement. The Austrian session will adress the status quo and perspectives of evidence-based reasoning. The swiss workshop will adress evidence-based medicine and guidelines. Guidelines in the German healthcare system will be discussed with policy-makers in a podium discussion titled: "Clinical Practice Guidelines: opportunities for healthcare in Germany?".

Das Symposium soll Organisationen und Experten aus dem deutschsprachigen Raum ein Forum bieten, organisatorische, methodische und inhaltliche Aspekte um das Thema Leitlinien und Qualitätsförderung vor dem Hintergrund ihrer individuellen Aufgabenstellungen und Erfahrungen zu diskutieren.
Dazu werden Workshops in drei Themensträngen angeboten:
- I Leitlinienprogramme im Deutschsprachigen Raum
Individuelle Konzepte und Möglichkeiten transnationaler Kooperation
- II Leitlinien und Qualitätsförderung: State of the Art und Perspektiven
Individuelle Konzepte und Kooperationen: Methodische Perspektiven
- III Leitlinien und Qualitätsförderung: State of the Art und Perspektiven
Individuelle Konzepte und Multiprofessionelle Kooperation: Klinische Perspektiven
Zusätzlich soll die Rolle von Leitlinien im Deutschen Gesundheitssystem im Rahmen einer 90minütigen Podiums- und Plenumsdiskussion mit Vertretern der Entscheidungsträger thematisiert werden unter dem Titel: "Leitlinien: Hoffnungsträger für das Deutsche Gesundheitssystem?".
