The Benefits of G-I-N Membership
The Guidelines International Network facilitates collaborative work between guideline organisations.
G-I-N's aim is to provide broad and easy access to its numerous resources for organisations and individuals of all parts in the world. To facilitate multilateral collaboration G-I-N members are expected to contribute to G-I-N's work, in particular by providing information on their activities for the G-I-N website.
Benefits of being part of an inspiring professional community include:
- Sharing resource-intensive systematic reviews and evidence tables. Given the high costs of literature searching and critical appraisal, this will bring opportunities for reduced costs and improved quality of clinical practice guidelines.
- Having access to the world's largest guideline database - G-I-N's International Guidelines Database with more than 6,890 guidelines online, and to the guideline tools inventory providing access to G-I-N members' tools for producing and implementing evidence based guidelines.
- Working with international experts and participating in G-I-N Working Groups on topics designed to enhance guideline development and implementation.
- Information about the news and action of G-I-N members' organisation through the G-I-N Newsletter (enGINe).
- A chance to meet guideline professionals from all over the world at the G-I-N Conferences and Workshops. Members are entitled to a discount rate for G-I-N annual conferences.
- Mentoring and professional development opportunities. The G-I-N community organises in-house training and regional CME symposia in all parts of the world.

Membership Fees
The main source of funding of the Network is the fees paid by its members. However, to provide the widest access to our resources we are aiming at keeping our subscriptions at a low level. Therefore, following approbation at the Annual General Meeting of 2005, introduced a variation of the fees based on the location of the organisation/individual. The distinction is being performed based on the classification of the World Bank and separate High and Upper-Middle economies and Lower-Middle and Low economies.
We also separate those small organisations (with a maximum of 10 staff members) from the larger ones and provide our members with the opportunity to sponsor/mentor a member from a developing country.
The table below shows our annual membership fees.
