World Dental Federation Guideline Database
The FDI World Dental Federation is the authorative worldwide organisation of dentistry representing more than 700,000 dentists in over 130 countries. The guidelines database contains references and links to National and International Guidelines & Statements, Position papers, Proceedings, Systematic reviews and Meta-analyses.
The Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation (short GRADE) Working Group began in the year 2000 as an informal collaboration of people with an interest in addressing the shortcomings of present grading systems in health care. GRADE's aim is to develop a common, sensible approach to grading quality of evidence and strength of recommendation.

India: National AIDS Control Organization
Soon after reporting of the first few HIV/AIDS cases in the country in 1986, Government recognised the seriousness of the problem and took a series of important measures to tackle the epidemic. A high powered National AIDS Committee was constituted in 1986 itself and a National AIDS Control Programme was launched in year 1987. The NACO makes available its guidelines on the publications web page.

The Geneva Foundation for Medical Education and Research is a non-profit organisation established in 2002. It is supported by the Department of Health of the Canton of Geneva, the Faculty of Medicine, Geneva University, and the Geneva Medical Association, and works in close collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO). The Foundation's website offers access to guidelines for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Medicine in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.

The electronic library for social care is a site for anyone interested in social care issues. It is a product of the Social Care Institute for Excellence (UK), an independent organisation dedicated to disseminating knowledge to improve social care practice.

The EQUATOR Network is a new quality improvement initiative that seeks to enhance reliability of medical research literature by promoting transparent and accurate reporting of health research.
National Library of Guidelines
The National Library of Guidelines is a collection of guidelines for the NHS. It is based on the guidelines produced by NICE and other national agencies. The main focus of the Library is on guidelines produced in the UK, but where no UK guideline is available, guidelines from other countries are included in the collection. NICE issues guidelines of very high quality. They are based on a systematic review of the evidence and have extensive consultation not only with clinicians but also with patients and, where relevant, industry. Professional associations do not have the resources to carry out this type of consultation but they can follow the principles set out in the AGREE protocol which helps guideline writers minimise bias, meet the needs of all stakeholders and maximise clarity.
NeLH Care Pathways Library
This facility offers access to a database of Pathways and the organisations creating and using them. The content is maintained jointly by the National Pathways Associationand the Royal College of Nursing.

The National Health Committee was established by statute to advise the Minister of Health on the kinds and relative priorities of public health services, personal health services and disability services that it believes should be publicly funded.
