Many peer reviewed journals now require authors to be preparedto share their raw, unprocessed data with other scientists orstate the availability of raw data in published articles, butlittle information on how such data should be prepared for sharinghas emerged. Iain Hrynaszkiewicz and colleagues propose a minimumstandard for de-identifying datasets to ensure patient privacywhen sharing clinical research data.
