Invitation to participate in a research project from McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada

Posted by Jenna Docherty at Januar 29. 2018

You are invited to participate in a research project about the development of summary of finding tables (SoF) for use in systematic reviews. We are interested in knowing whether the information displayed in a SoF table format is understandable. Your input will inform the development and standardisation of SoF tables. This survey should take less than 30 minutes to complete.

Please use the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SOFtables

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me: Rebecca Morgan (morganrl@mcmaster.ca) or Tejan Baldeh (baldeht@mcmaster.ca). Hamilton Integrated Research Ethics Board in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, has approved this survey

Thank you very much for your time and contribution.

Greetings,

I am a public member involved with Guidelines. I have taken on line EBM  training through Cochrane/JHU, attended two Evidence Based Guidelines Affecting Practice Policy and Stakeholders E-GAPPS conferences at NYAM alongside Consumer United Evidence CUE Summits. I attended the Cochrane Colloquium '18 and most recently participated in a 1.5 day GRADE workshop as an individual who is Public Involved PPI. At that training I found both the EtD as well as the SoF beneficial. The SoF table was easier for me to use than going through each domain separately. I 'graded' into the hard copy paper table.

Just an FYI from a novice PPI (consumer/public/patient G-I-N member

I unfortunately am not able to attend on the 29th due to a scheduling conflict

Thank you

Janice Tufte
